You'll need

  • Starched dinner napkin (50 cm) — 1

Step-by-step checkpoints

Focus here

1.Fold in half into a triangle, base toward you; fold both base corners up to the apex (a diamond).

2.Flip it over and fold the bottom point up two-thirds.

3.Wrap the left flap into the right to lock it, stand it up, and fold the two front peaks out.

StandardStands unaided, two sharp peaks, clean back seam.

What 'done right' looks like

  • Stands unaided
  • Two sharp, even peaks

Common mistakes → the fix

  • It won't stand
Tuck the wrap-flap fully into the opposite fold to lock the base.

Pro tips

  • Heavier starched napkins hold the peaks far better than soft poly-cotton.

Finishing & placement
