Focus here

1.Fold the napkin into quarters, open corners to the top-right.

2.Fold ONLY the top layer down diagonally to make the pocket band.

Folding just the top layer creates the slot; folding all layers closes it.

3.Fold the left and right thirds behind, then insert the cutlery.

StandardSquare edges, cutlery sits straight in the band.

What 'done right' looks like

  • Clean diagonal pocket band
  • Cutlery sits straight, edges square

Common mistakes → the fix

  • No pocket forms
Make sure you fold only the single top layer down.

Pro tips

  • Slip the menu card behind the cutlery for a polished room-service look.

Finishing & placement

Beside the plate, cutlery angled toward the guest.
